Melbourne Speed Club Inc.main page |
The Melbourne Speed Club was created in 1999 as an avenue for interested skaters to take their skating collectively to new levels through competition and training. In 2003 the Club registered with RSV to participate as an independant club in the Victorian competition. Registered athletes of the Club who qualify may represent at National and World Championship competitions. The Learn2skate coaches have been instrumental in their coaching and many of us have enjoyed watching or skating in the club races. As another year flys by we would like to outline the training options available to you. Club Membership Fees
The member grades within each category denote ‘plain’ or ‘club level’ skating. Club member grade offers the more competitive skater the opportunity to compete in race level competitions in the coming season. There are new options available to you. You can skate with Learn2skate 3 times per week as a private client with one on one instruction if that’s what you believe is best for you. You can skate with a public group that is semi-structured fun and fitness training or you can train with a squad for fun, fitness and competition. If the multi-level membership system is too complicated for you then the standard public groups and private tuition is still available. The Melbourne Speed Club membership is complex in its parts but simple in its reasoning. The more committed you are to your skating the more you can pay for in your membership fee and the more you save. We will also be issuing new membership cards. For more information please refer to the attached membership details document. RSV

We hope to be able to attract new members to our club. If you know of any family, friends or colleagues who would benefit from skating or would like us to talk to your organization about a corporate fun skate session, then please advise one of the Committee members. With so much happening in our club we ask members to keep a close eye on the Notice Board for coming events and activities or make sure you speak with a committee member. As a valued member your suggestions and input into the club are essential to ensure ongoing future development and success of the club. If you have any suggestions for activities, programs or fundraising can you please bring them to the attention of a committee member. We will continue to bring you the very highest standards in coaching, fun skates and racing. |
